I have a 2008 M with a 70HP Suzuki and would love to know the best way to secure the motor for towing. I have the custom steering set up from BW yachts and usually secure the motor off the steering but seems a little flimsy for a heavy motor bouncing around.
Besides running aground ‘safely’ (done that!) towing is why we love our Macs. Many thanks for all suggestions.

Hi Niall, I have a 2010 with 70 Suzuki. I just disconnect from the steering, raise the motor and drive away. Haven’t noticed any problems yet (touch wood) I haven’t driven behind the boat so don’t know how much bouncing goes on. Maybe ignorance is bliss??

one thing to maybe do is place a 2×4 under the motor when raised then lower the motor onto the piece so that it is under tension a little. that should stop it from bouncing and not harm the transom.
