After I replace the rotten metal beams, I painted the entire trailer with PRO 15. This paint is expensive and I used approximately 2 litres to paint the entire trailer. The paint goes on smoothly and evenly. The paint encapsulates the metal with a plastic-like finish. Also, I replace treated wooden bunks and carpet. See photos.

If you have your boat on the Go-Hoist while the trailer is being over hauled, then you might consider painting the boat bottom with a good marine bottom paint. See Photo
