Quick and easy, if not a hardy dish at sea.
1 pd ground beef
1 can kidney beans (16oz)
1 can whole kernel corn, undrained
1 can dice tomatoes, undrained
add what ever spices you have, toss in garlic and onions if you want… sure you can add peppers. Don’t want to be fussy ok then! salt and pepper will do!
1 cup of biscuit/baking mix
1/3 cup of milk
Cook meat till no longer pink and add the ingredients, bring to boil then reduce heat.
In a bowl mix biscuit mix and milk until moistened, drop tablespoons of doe into simmering stew. Cover and let simmer for 12 minutes or so. Don’t peek while dumplings are simmering… sit down have a beer or glass of wine. Relax the job is done.
