Commodores Bannock

What I like about this is that anyone can make it and if you have kids onboard it keeps them busy.
Pre-package in bags.
3 cups all purpose flour (or 2 cups flour 1 cup whole weat)
2 tbsp baking powder
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 pinch of salt
1 1/2 cups of water. (or fruit juice if you want to make a dessert bannock)
(you can toss in fruit, raisins, currants, 1 tspn of cinnammon) ( a little italian add tomato paste, chopped olives, garlic and peppers with oregano… a mommamillia!) ( Did someone say cheeze… go for it cheeze it up)
Mix all ingredients together. Knead on a lightly flour surface let stand 10 min. Pat down till about 1″ thick (on the beach cut strings of dough and wrap around a stick and let kids cook over a fire)
Place in pan slighly oiled cover and cook over heat for about 15-20 min till golden brown underneath. In dutch over for about 15 min.
Once done… spread the butter and manger with marmalade!!! like a good sailor
