I'm considering a road trip with my 2001 X at the end of March. I would have 8 days to work with. Coming from Denver and considering San Diego (Catalina Island maybe?) or Corpus Christi, TX. Either destination would be 17 to 18 hr drive according to Google. I'm thinking TX due to fewer mountain passes around Colorado where we usually have substantial snow in March. I have never done any coastal sailing, but I am competent. I have a Garmin 441S chart plotter and redundant systems in place. I would probably spend two days travel in each direction (going solo) so that only gives me 4 days on the water. Any recommendations in reference to marinas, destinations, sailing areas, safety, points of interest, etc.?

Although I don’t own a Macgregor anymore. I’m posting this for your help. If anyone sees or knows the whereabouts of these sails that were stolen, please get back with me. Been away in Oregon the last six months with boat and sails locked up at lake Jacomo. Wouldn’t have thought it would happen. And will be starting a job 2 hours from Kansas City Monday on a 2-3 year job working 4-10 hour days. I’m thankful for that anyway. Just bummed right now. 😞

Hey guys. I am looking to purchase a spinnaker sail and rigging for my Mac 26x
Does anyone have anything for sale?
Also what size spin is typical for a Mac 26.

Have bought a small 30 litre (8 gallon) fridge for my Macgregor X. Was planning on placing in tub under first seat before table but am now concerned about ventilation for fridge. Has anyone placed a fridge there and have holes been made towards top of tub or perhaps an extractor fan used?

2000 MacGregor 26X for sale. Asking $15,500. Located in Boise, Idaho.

Includes tandem axle trailer and 50hp Suzuki outboard. Super clean. Galley, head, sleeps 6, roller furling headsail, and much more. She is in great condition - nothing wrong at all. Many accessories and some upgrades. I have her in covered storage.

50 hp Suzuki - regularly maintained professionally.
Tandem Axle Trailer
Bimini, Dodger, and Canvas Sail Covers (all black)
Remodeled/Upgraded Galley - lots of added storage!
A few upgrades such as additional fresh water tank, stereo system, lazarette, and more.
Completely new steering system installed at the beginning of last season.
Everything is "ship shape" and ready to sail!

The MacGregor 26X is an incredible boat for someone looking for a boat that can do it all - we sail her, tow our kids behind her on various tow toys (knee board, tubes, etc), and perfect for fun overnights/extended trips on the water!

Sorry for the less than glamorous photos - most of the pics were just taken in February, midwinter. I’ll add cabin photos as soon as I can.
