Front windows on the 26M
My front looking windows are extremely leaking.
I put a beat of silicon around them and that stopped most of it.
The real fix is obviously to take the windows out and completely reseal them.
Here are my questions for all of you that did that repair before:
• Are the 4 screws holding each window sheet-metal type or are there nuts behind it?
• Once you remove and cleaned the window and the seat, what did you use to reseal them?
• Are there any additional tricks, like putting screws in the center of each side to make the windows follow better any flexing of the deck under load?
Any assistance is greatly appreciated 

This is my first post in the group. I just purchased a 26X and I'm excited to get started on the restoration. I'm sure I'm gonna have a lot of questions but my first one is about boarding the sailboat. I've owned other sailboats both large and small and I've never had so much trouble stepping onto one from the dock as I did the McGregor. My plan is to trailer the boat to different locations so carrying a Dock box or stepstool isn't really an option. Have any of you made modifications to make stepping into the boat easier?

We finally arrived at Allan's Cay in Exumas/Bahamas on our Mac 26M from Summerland Key, FL. We beat the 4-5' waves at 20mph headwind. We bought it few days before Irma hit head on over our house in the Keys. We took the chance of sailing without testing the boat... there are so many mods that can be done to make 30 days sailing more efficient.
Lesson learned: If you are a woman, pack lite--do not over pack... MacGregor IS small.

A little edit I made today on lake pleasant Arizona. Who says you can’t sail in the desert 😉
